DAISY LOVE'S STORY // PART 4
On April 11, 2012, Daisy's third recurring Wilms tumor was removed from her abdomen. The tumor was only the size of a golf ball, but the operation required that her spleen be removed as well. She survived the surgery and faced more chemotherapy, more difficult procedures, and more excruciating treatments.
Daisy and her family trusted Jesus. But they also entered a battle for Daisy's life. The next steps included chemotherapy and a possible stem cell transplant with traditional and progressive cancer treatments in America and Israel costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Many friends gave generously, and Daisy underwent months of treatment. On December 13, 2012, two new cancerous tumors were discovered in her abdominal region. The tumors were so large that they impacted blood flow to major organs. After weeks in and out of the hospital, Daisy spent her last days at home.
On Saturday, February 16, 2013 Daisy went home to be with Jesus. She was sleeping and in no pain. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26)
Daisy believed this and so do we. More than ever.
